Why the original part fails
The failure mode is predictable — a binding pivot, a rusty rod end or cracked plastic bushing. Replacing the whole assembly is normally quicker and safer than pressing in new bushings on a scored pin.

- Galvanised and coated steel — Water from the windscreen drains straight over this area. Coated rods and brackets resist rust and seizing in wet climates.
- Pre-greased on assembly — The unit goes in ready to run, so there is no extra greasing step during fitting.
